This plant belongs to family Amaranthaceae commonly available all over Inda, China, Japan. In India the leaves are used for curing Tonsils. The leaves chewed early in the morning to cure Tonsils. Continuation for 1 week will lead to permanent cure for Tonsil problems.In Nepal juice of root is used for toothache. In kannada its called Utharani used for traditional purpose.
